Alan T. DeKok is the co-founder and project leader of the FreeRADIUS Server Project. He has written substantial portions of the code and documentation, and is active on the freeradius-users mailing list.
He is writing a book called Deploying RADIUS and has a personal blog
Background
Alan started using RADIUS in 1996, and worked with the old Livingston server starting in 1997. Prior to starting FreeRADIUS, he designed and wrote a commercial RADIUS server that was multi-threaded, and ran on Linux, *BSD, AIX, HPUX, and Windows NT4. He started FreeRADIUS in August 1999 with Miquel Van Smoorenburg, in order to develop a community supported, Open Source RADIUS server.
Alan has consulted in many areas related to FreeRADIUS, including development, support, and training.
